In the past, in this area there was a Pannonian Sea. Wine growing tradition here is more than 2 millennia, sandy terrain (this is why wines produced here are called \u2019\u2019sand wines\u201c) and mild climate create conditions for growing Cabenet Franc, Merlot, Pinot noir, Cabernet, Italian riesling, Pino blanc, Hungarian Ezerjo. It is said that Palic was one of the four most visited fashionable resorts in time of the Habsburg Empire, together with Opatija, St. Moritz and Karlovy Vary. Numerous villas, summer houses and the Large Park, built in 1840, date from this period. The favorite place for nature lovers is Palic Lake, with a 17 km long pedestrian and bike trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next stop will be one of the most famous region\u2019s wineries \u2019\u2019Zvonko Bogdan\u201c.
