Bosnia and Herzegovina – Bijeljina and Ethno Village Stanišići

Join us on an unforgettable adventure and visit one of the oldest and most beautiful ethno villages in the region.

First we will visit the city of Bijeljina. One of the most important cities in Republika Srpska and the center of Semberia region. Visit to the monastery of St. Petka, then a visit to the city center (monument of King Peter I Karađorđević, monastery of St. Vasilije Ostroški, church of St. George) and free time to relax in the city center.

Then we will continue to the ethno village Stanisici. The ethnic village “Stanisici” was founded in 2003 thanks to the inspiration of Boris Stanisic. For more than a few years, he traveled through the Serbian villages of central Bosnia in search of old houses and objects that would preserve an idea of the time and culture of life in the late 19th and early 20th century. The result was a real mountain village in the middle of the Sember plain.

Ethno village Stanisici is a village with about twenty authentic wooden houses, a milk mill, a water mill, a forge, a grain barn, old houses and a large guest house, which were transferred from villages in the municipality of Vares and villages from Mount Zvezda and Romagna, from neighboring municipalities. Here the eyes and soul rest, listening to the chirping of birds, the murmur of streams and the work of water mills. There are three resorts on the territory of the ethnovillage, the dishes are prepared by the best chefs, and the friendly staff will offer you dishes of local and international cuisine.
